The Open Door

After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here …”  –Revelation 4:1

There is a door standing open in heaven. “Come up here!”  The invitation has been issued.  The way has been made.  The price has been paid.

There is a door standing open in heaven.   “Come up here!”  Look up.  Lift your gaze. Get a higher vision.  Gain a higher perspective.

There is a door standing open in heaven.  “Come up here!” It’s for you.  It’s for me.  It’s for us.  It’s for him.  He longs to be with us–more than we will ever comprehend.

There is a door standing open in heaven.  “Come up here!”  The invitation has been issued.  The way has been made.  The price has been paid.

Thank you, Jesus,  for the open door. Thank you for freedom.   And thank you for loving me … always.

No matter how long it takes me to see the door; to hear the invitation; to lay aside lesser pursuits–you are waiting.  No matter how often I am distracted; no matter how often I ignore or postpone your invitation–you are available.

You are never too busy for me.  Your calendar is never too full. You are never more concerned with other people or other things. Your eyes are on me; watching and waiting for me … always.

I can “Come up here!” anytime, anywhere.  It’s not a conditional invitation–the door IS open. You are the door. You never change. You never change your mind.  You never change your mind about me.   You love me, you want me, you long to be with me … always.

There is a door standing open in heaven. I see it.  I see you.  I hear you.  I love you. I want to be with you … always.

I’m walking through the door.   How about you?
