Not by Force, Nor by Strength

Not by force, nor by strength–will I find my purpose.

Not by force, nor by strength–will I see restoration.

Not by force, nor by strength–will I find favor.

Not by force, nor by strength–will I see justice.

Not by force, nor by strength–will I find success.

Not by force, nor by strength–will I see breakthrough.

Not by force, nor by strength–will I find my place.

“‘Not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD of Heaven’s armies.” Zechariah 4:6 (NLT)

 “‘My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.’ So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.” – 2 Cor.12:9 (NLT)

“If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.”   Matt. 16.25 (NLT)

“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” – Matt. 19:26

“Is anything too hard for the LORD? ” – Genesis 18:14

~~~~~~~~
No, Lord, nothing is too hard for you—and I’m so, so glad. I will never attain by force or strength, that which you desire to give freely. You are not bound by how I think breakthrough and change should look.  You are not bound by how I think purpose and success should look.  You are not limited by my limited imagination and perceptions. And when you ask me to keep laying down “the former things” until it seems there is absolutely nothing left—I am in the perfect position to see your creative power prevail in  my weakness. I know this isn’t an end—it is a beginning.  It really is a new day.  And if I need to leave absolutely everything from yesterday on the altar in order to receive what you have for me today, then so be it. My hands are empty, Lord. My heart is open. My eyes are fixed on you.  I believe, Lord.  I believe you.  And all things are possible for those who believe.
In the Name above every other name ~  Amen.
  1. “Not by force, or by strength…” truthfully I force and use my strength until I finally yield to His Spirit…praying I will yield soon.
    And those scriptures are “easy” on the good days…they certainly stretch me on the more challenging moments.
    Thank you for sharing this–good timing.
  2. Oh my gosh this is so for me!!!! You have no idea. It brought me to tears. I spent all last week pushing and forcing things to happen like a crazy bulldog, only to end up exhausted. I needed to be reminded to let his Spirit make things happen. I even woke up say today is a NEW DAY! and ask the Spirit to move to make things happen. Thank you so much for this!
