“I am my beloveds and He is mine.”
That is the most important thing you need to know about me. I am loved by the greatest Lover of all and I love Him with all of my heart and soul and strength. He is my everything and He is worthy of my all.
In my life, giving Him my all has a lot to do with words. Whether it is in speaking them, praying them, or writing them, I long for my words to draw others closer to His heart.
Besides writing and speaking, most of my focus in ministry has been in the area prayer and I have led various prayer ministries and prayer teams both locally and globally for over twenty years. Life with Jesus really is a grand adventure!
Although I am a peacemaker at heart, I can also be uncomfortably vocal when it comes to certain areas of injustice—particularly in the area of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. (For more on this, check here or here.) More than anything, I want to love what He loves, see what He sees, and do what He does.
This, of course, is a work in process. Although I sincerely long to live before Him in the beauty of simplicity, I still get way too distracted, way too often. Fortunately He is amazingly patient, unfathomably kind, and abounding in mercy and grace. Because of His great love, I continue to press on to lay hold of that for which He laid hold of me.
My heart yearns for His presence and I will always view the privilege of sitting at His feet as my highest calling, but I also own a few left-brain cells and have some God-given abilities on the business side of things. On a vocational basis, I have been an HR professional for over 25 year, and have spent the last 15 years serving the nonprofit sector exclusively. Currently I consult with churches and ministries throughout North America and have recently released a book on HR (HR Matters) written specifically for churches and nonprofits. This, however, is my personal website and the place where I unashamedly express my heart…always with the hope that others will catch a glimpse of His.
