I read Psalm 100 from The Passion Translation earlier this week and vs 5 seemed to nail what I see God doing in this hour. He IS always good and always ready to receive us. His love and kindness IS amazing and astounding. He CAN be trusted and His promises WILL be fulfilled to every generation. But mostly I think we are about to see …
He is famous for His faithfulness toward all.
I live in Southern California and we are only hours away from Azusa NOW – an event I believe will prove to be a historic turning point. The spiritual atmosphere surrounding LA has literally become more and more electric over the past weeks. The Holy Spirit is so saturating the area that the faith, hope, and expectancy are rising tangibly on a daily basis.
I’ve been to lots of big prayer/worship/evangelistic type gatherings in the past. Some have been amazing markers in my own spiritual journey and many seem to have impacted scores of others as well; others have seemed more like, well, just big gatherings. But from the beginning, there has been something different about this particular event. Honestly, I’m not even sure what to expect — I just know God is on it and I’m SO glad I get to be there! I heard someone sum it up this way: “In the past we’ve hosted events and we’ve invited God to come, this time God is hosting the event and He’s invited us to come!”
The times they are a changing. Anyone with a pulse knows we are facing a multitude of challenges–in our own country and in the world around us. But God. Don’t you love those two little words? But God who “is famous for His faithfulness toward all ” still has a say. But God still wins with any hand. But God is always good, always loving, and always kind. But God …
KEEPS HIS PROMISES.
I think, maybe, collectively we are finally starting to trust Him, just a bit. We are starting to look up more than we’re looking around or down. We’re starting to let love win more often than fear. We’re starting to speak life, more than we’re speaking death. We’re starting to dare to hope …
We’re starting to believe.
And when we start to believe together, well, watch out world. His kingdom will come and His will will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
We’re just at the beginning of the beginning, but it is a beginning. I’ll take it. It’s an exciting time to be alive. It is an exciting time to be His. It’s an exciting time to be part of the Kingdom. It’s an exciting time to partner with the heartbeat of heaven. It’s an exciting time to believe. It’s an exciting time to declare His faithfulness …
“For the Lord is always good and ready to receive you. He is so loving that it will amaze you; so kind it will astound you! And He is famous for His faithfulness to all!”
