Lord of Lords, King of Kings

And so much more

But…

If He isn’t Immanuel none of those things really matter all that much.

The good news?

He IS Immanuel.

Not just the One who came. Not just the One who’ll come again…

The One who stayed.

By the time I had a true revelation of Jesus, I had experienced a lot of loss in my life. He hasn’t. And knowing that–I mean really really knowing that at the core of my being–has made ALL the difference.

Seasons come, and seasons go, but He remains the same.

He is Immanuel. God with us. God for us. God who will never leave.

“And lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” –Matthew 28:20

The incarnation was always imminent, forever illuminating the face of Immanuel.

Lord, may the miracle of the incarnation–the miracle that brought us face-to-face with Immanuel–be birthed afresh in our hearts. ~Amen.
