For Such a Time as This

For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” – Esther 4:14 NKJV

For such a time as this. Yes, this. In this time of uncertainty. In this time of chaos. In this time of strangeness. In this time when so many perils and threats are conspiring against us.

Maybe, just maybe, this is what we’ve been preparing for? Maybe, just maybe, this is the beginning of the beginning of the beginning of the shift into a new paradigm; a new age? Maybe, just maybe, we are nearing the time when the gospel of the KINGDOM—and not just the gospel of salvation—will go forth throughout the world?

Maybe?

You could remain silent. You could go on with business as usual. You could take a safer route and just try to ride it out with as little damage as possible. You could …

But what if this is a divine moment? A divine invitation to step into destiny? To step into the purpose you were created for?

Could it be that you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

I can hear the footsteps of my King
I can hear his heartbeat beckoning
In my darkness He has set me free
Now I hear the Spirit calling me

He’s calling, wake up child, it’s your turn to shine
You were born for such a time as this
He’s calling, wake up child, it’s your turn to shine
You were born for such a time as this
Such a time as this

(from The Anthem by Jake Hamilton)

Awaken our hearts, Lord. Help us to hear Your heart beckoning. Silence the noise and distraction so we can truly hear what You saying in this hour. And whatever you ask, individually and corporately, let us lean into You with an unconditional “yes” in our hearts. ~ Amen

I hear Him saying: Do not cast away your confidence
