“The season has changed, the bondage of your barren winter has ended,
and the season of hiding is over and gone. The rains have soaked the earth
and left it bright with blossoming flowers.” -Song of Songs 2:11-12a TPT
Yesterday, when asked the Lord what He was saying for today, at first, I didn’t hear a verse. Instead I heard the lyrics from an old song:
Ooh child things are going to get easier.
Ooh child days will get brighter
Ooh child things are going to get easier
Ooh child days will get brighter
From there, I felt the Lord bring Song of Songs 2:11 to mind … again.
I say “again” because I love this passage of scripture. I’ve written on it before. I’ve shared it in a number of different formats. I’m just not sure I have anything new to add. But I’m not sensing that Jesus brought it to mind to show me anything new. Instead, I think He wanted me…He wanted us…to remember:
No season lasts forever.
The rain will end. The winter will end. The birds will chirp. The sun will shine. Creation will burst with new colors and new growth. And…
Ooh child things are going to get easier.
Ooh child days will get brighter
Ooh child things are going to get easier
Ooh child days will get brighter
Lord, thank You for Your enduring faithfulness. There IS a time for every purpose under heaven. Even when our hearts are fearful and weary, Your word and Your promises still speak. You are still working. The season will change. Things will get easier. And, until they do, You continue to carry and strengthen us moment by moment, and day by day. ~Amen
I hear Him saying: My sheep hear Me…
Great song and Song of Songs! Yes, I agree. Things are going to be changing for the better. Springtime has come!

Cindy you are sustaining me. I am on bed rest unable to walk currently. My surgery is canceled as elective. So I have my spiritual life line…..this is one.

So sorry to hear you are on bed rest—sending prayers for a quicker than expected rescheduling and, especially, for quick healing. Thank you so much for taking the time to let me know these devos are blessing you—that means so very much to me. Much grace to you!
